Subcommittee responsibilities

The Subcommittee provides local community advice to the Integrated Catchment Management Committee on:

1. Proposed annual flood protection and river management activities under the Waihou Valley and Piako River Schemes.
2. Proposed annual land drainage activities under the Thames-Valley Land Drainage Scheme.
3. Scheme and level of service reviews.
4. Matters affecting operation, maintenance, and renewal of flood protection and land drainage infrastructure within the above schemes.
5. Priority areas for scheme investment in the above schemes.
