This guide has been produced to help in restoration projects, as weed control – especially before planting – has a vital role in ensuring plants have the best chance of survival. Weeding before planting begins is easier and reduces the likelihood of plant casualties due to weed competition.

This particularly applies to streamside areas that have become weed infested.
