Candidate statement

My principal place of residence is not in the Hamilton General Constituency area.

I graduated with a Bachelor Commerce Degree from Auckland University in 1972 and worked in Auckland for three years before going on OE to England where I worked as an accountant for three years and travelled through Europe and parts of North Africa. In 1978 I returned to NZ and settled in Hamilton where I lived for 24 years.

In 2002 I decided to go China to teach English as a second language for a year but stayed over 10 years teaching and travelling. I believe this has given me a unique insight into where a large part of the future for NZ lies and a greater understanding of Eastern values.

In 2012 I returned to NZ. I would now like to put something back into the Waikato district and believe that my experiences give me a broader view that will be helpful.
