My principal place of residence is in the Hamilton General Constituency area.

We can save the planet. We already do recycling and composting, and carbon emissions are reduced when more people use public transport. I was born in the Waikato, but for almost 30 years I lived in countries with efficient public transport. I have been making representations to the Waikato Regional Council since 2021 concerning Hamilton's buses. My efforts have had no effect. Recently, huge plans for changes to bus routes along with a feedback form were on the regional council's website. This was not advertised and was difficult to find, navigated only through clicking on several links and scrolling down pages. It was open for 19 days. This is not public consultation. As a councillor I wish to improve transparency, routes, signage and the transit app so that taking public transport is a more viable option for us all.
