Candidate statement

My principal place of residence is in the Waihou General Constituency area.

Clean water, flood banks, aqueducts, and wastewater treatment — the regional challenges need practical solutions. I bring to the table a childhood of farmwork, a decade of electrical work, and studies across multiple scientific disciplines at two universities. Political arts taught me the importance of personal connection — to lead by example for my dozen nieces and nephews, and to knock on your door so you’re properly consulted.

I value transparency, so everyone has an equal opportunity to be heard. With strong families and caring communities, we can supercharge regional growth. As someone who lives in the area, I know too well the solutions required. With a proactive, science-based approach focused on what’s possible, a streamlined programme of projects could just give someone their backyard back.
