Candidate statement

My principal place of residence is in the Hamilton General Constituency area.

I’m standing for Waikato Regional Council to bring a pragmatic, evidence-based voice to the table. With over 25 years of experience in software development across Australasia, the UK, and the US, I understand how to solve complex problems and work collaboratively across diverse communities. I’ve lived in Hamilton on and off since 1990, and I care deeply about our region’s future.

I believe in protecting our environment — but doing so in a way that is practical, science-backed, and enables rather than obstructs those working to get things done. It’s time to streamline the policies that matter, and cut the ones that don’t.

I’ll advocate for ratepayers, business owners, and grassroots community initiatives, ensuring their voices are heard in Council decisions. If elected, I’ll push for policies that are outcomes-focused, fiscally responsible, and genuinely support the well-being of the Waikato region.
