Rates Control Team

My principal place of residence is in the Waikato General Constituency area.

Times are tough. If you’re tightening your belt, so should Waikato Regional Council. That’s why I’m standing with the Rates Control Team — committed to driving efficiencies, cutting waste, and controlling costs.

Rates Control Team fought to return a $2.5 million surplus to ratepayers, blocked only by a casting vote. If elected, we’ll keep working to return surpluses through rates reductions.

Last year, Council spent $16.9 million on consultants. It’s time to slash this unnecessary cost.

Speaking personally, I have concerns about Plan Change 1 in its current form. It threatens livelihoods without delivering practical environmental results.

Our team also opposes the creeping co-governance of freshwater. Water must be managed for the benefit of all New Zealanders.

As a 4th generation resident of the Waikato district, I am here to listen to your concerns, and to bring about meaningful change.
