My principal place of residence is in the Taupo-Rotorua General Constituency area.

As a local ecologist and environmental advocate, I’m standing to protect Lake Taupō, our rivers, and the landscapes we love. I bring decades of experience in ecology, problem solving, project management, and community engagement.

Taupō needs strong regional leadership to protect water quality, enable sustainable land use, and partner with Tangata Whenua and landowners. As extreme weather increases, we must invest in nature-based flood protection and support community resilience, connection, and sustainable infrastructure.

If elected, I’ll champion:

• Stronger protections for freshwater, biodiversity, and biosecurity
• Support for landowners and iwi in restoration and climate adaptation
• Community voices at the council table
• Native planting to capture carbon, improve water quality, and boost biodiversity and resilience

My commitment to healthy waterways, resilient landscapes, and a sustainable future is grounded in a strong connection to this region and its communities.
