Candidate Statement

My principal place of residence is in the Hamilton General Constituency area.

My principal place of residence is Kirikiriroa Hamilton. I am married to Bev; we have two grown-up daughters and two grandsons. My background in environmental science is highly relevant to the councillor role with more than 40 years of experience. I have a strong track record of helping community groups and iwi to achieve their aspirations in sustaining our land, water and environment. I seek your support for serving a second term on council. In the last 3 years, I have served diligently on many committees focusing on biodiversity and biosecurity issues. These challenging times require the Waikato Regional Council to perform at its full potential. I will use my skills and expertise to help us take a more collaborative, evidence-based approach to the many challenges that lie ahead. Our focus needs to be on ensuring that we do not compromise the inheritance and wellbeing of future generations.
