Strategy and Policy Committee

This Committee is responsible for the following functions, excluding matters that fall within the specific responsibilities of other committees:

1. Setting Council’s strategic direction and policy responses
2. Identifying regional issues that require Council intervention
3. Setting Council’s advocacy position on regional issues
4. Responding to external agency statutory planning processes
5. Providing thought leadership on matters of regional significance
6. Establishing strategic priorities for organisational direction and policy setting
