Waikato Regional Council notified its decision on submissions to the Proposed Waikato Regional Coastal Plan on Tuesday 14 October 2025.

The period for lodging appeals and section 274 notices has now closed. Notices of appeal and section 274 parties that have joined appeal proceedings can be found below.

As Council receives documents relating to the appeal process, we will upload them to this page.

Please note, the Environment Court is responsible for running the appeals proceedings and any correspondence on process matters around appeals should be directed to the Environment Court.

The Environment Court will issue minutes regarding appeals.  These will be listed below, as they become available.

Note: the reporting date for counsel to file its First Case Management Memorandum is now due by 5:00pm on 27 February 2026 (as opposed to the initial direction in paragraph [2](c) of the above 8 December Minute).
