Reuse and recycle guide

The spreadsheet below details where certain materials can be reused and recycled.

Reuse and recycle guide (90kb) -  updated September 2015.

Council services

In the Waikato region, kerbside recycling is also available in most urban areas as part of the standard refuse collection services provided by local city and district councils. The councils also provide public drop-off points for recycling certain materials.

Below is a list of urban recycling facilities available in each district. You can click on the district name to visit the relevant council website for further information. Please check with your local council as to hours and days of operation for public facilities.

You could also consider recycling large-scale waste through The Waste Exchange, a council-sponsored free waste 'brokering' service that helps businesses find markets for their by-products, surplus materials and waste.
