Photo of gorse spraying activityAgrichemicals are chemicals (other than fertiliser) used to manage plant diseases and pests. They include fungicides, insecticides and herbicides.

Agrichemical spray drift can affect human health and nearby crops that are not the target of spraying.

Managing spray drift

There are currently no national guidelines.

Waikato Regional Council has rules and requirements for agrichemical spraying, as set out in the Waikato Regional Plan.
