Timber by the truckload from Waste Exchange

Paeroa company Pine Processes Limited have timber by the truckload going cheap.

Lindsay McGaughan of Pine Processes Limited wants to give anyone an opportunity to use what to the company is a waste by-product from their processes.

The timber mill slabs are between five and six metres long and vary in width from 100 to 300 millimetres. The timber has been registered with The Waste Exchange, a free service provided by Hauraki District Council and Environment Waikato to link waste products with organisations and individuals who can use them.

Exchange Co-ordinator Pippa Russell says she hopes to get plenty of calls about the wood.
“Timber tends to be one of the quicker materials we can move.”

Anyone who wants them can take them away for $30 a truck load by contacting the Exchange on 0800 NO THROW (0800 668 4769).

The Waste Exchange works with businesses in trying to find other markets for their waste rather than going to landfill. In the past year The Waste Exchange has diverted about a million litres of waste from landfills in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
