Environment Waikato is putting on a stadium shuttle for the Waikato vs Wellington rugby clash this Saturday (September 23).

The shuttle allows fans to leave their cars at home rather than battling parking and congestion hassles.

Leaving every 10 minutes for an hour before the game, it travels from Knox St up Victoria St to the stadium, servicing all stops along the way, and returns to town after the game is over.

People are reminded to flag the bus down, as a number of different bus services use the same stops.

Thanks to a recent initiative, anyone who catches any city bus into town is now entitled to two hours’ worth of free transfers, meaning they can catch the stadium shuttle for free. Those already in town can jump onto the shuttle for only $2 cash or $1.40 with a BUSIT! Card. It’s even cheaper for kids - $1 cash or 70 cents with a BUSIT! Card.

This Saturday’s game kicks off at 5.30pm. Buses will depart immediately after the final whistle from Mill St opposite the Stadium.
