Waikato Regional Council is this Thursday holding its council meeting in Paeroa as part of moves to make meetings more accessible to the public.
Normally meetings of the full council are held in Hamilton but late last year councillors decided to have several in other centres to be more accessible and to help build regional relationships.
Thursday’s meeting will be at 10am in Hauraki District Council’s chambers at 1 William Street, Paeroa.
“We invite the public to attend if they are interested in seeing regional councilors in action and to learn more about the types of issues we deal with,” said council chairperson Paula Southgate.
“We really welcome and encourage public engagement with, and input into, the issues we’re dealing with.”
