Changes to the Glenview and Mahoe bus timetables will come into effect next month, resulting in increased frequency of services to the Waikato Hospital.

Waikato Regional Council policy and transport group manager Vaughan Payne said the enhancements to the two routes would take effect on Monday, 1 August.

“We’ve listened to our customers and have been working in partnership with the Hamilton bus operator, Go Bus, to introduce these new features to the Glenview and Mahoe routes as part of our ongoing commitment to improve local bus services,” Mr Payne said.

The timetabling changes will provide enhanced frequency between the city centre and Waikato Hospital, with a bus up to every 15 minutes (9am-6pm, Monday to Friday).

User friendly timetables for the Glenview and Mahoe bus routes are also being produced and will include intermediate timing points. Upgraded bus stop timetable information will provide better route and timetable information.

“We are confident these improvements will better meet the needs of hospital workers and visitors, whilst also providing a better service for residents in Mahoe and Glenview,” Mr Payne said.

New timetables will be available from bus drivers on the Glenview and Mahoe bus services, and also from the transport centre on the corner of Bryce and Anglesea Streets, from Monday, 25 July.
