Consent applications for Raglan deviation

Environment Waikato has received resource consent applications for re-alignment of the Raglan Deviation.

Residents can make submissions to the applications, which have been publicly advertised. The work will be done on a 2.7km section of State Highway 23 on the western side of the Kapamahunga Range starting at the summit and finishing east of Cogswell Rd.

The work is to be done by Transit NZ and includes land and soil disturbance, vegetation clearance, discharge of contaminants to air and water, discharge of overburden and cleanfill, culvert construction and stormwater discharge.

Submissions can be made to Environment Waikato, Box 4010, Hamilton East by October 4, with a copy delivered to the applicant at Montgomery Watson Harza, PO Box 89, Hamilton. People who want to make submissions can see the applications at Environment Waikato’s Hamilton office, or offices of Waikato or District Council.
