Changes to Taupo’s bus services will come into effect next week. As of Monday August 22, the Rainbow Drive service will be extended to Wharewaka, and the frequency of this service increased to seven trips a day, Monday to Saturday. This service has had high patronage and there has been public demand for an extension to the route. The service will travel to town at 7.30 am, 9.00 am, 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm, and depart from town for Wharewaka at 11.30 am, 2.30 pm and 5.15 pm. All services apart from the 7.30 am service now travel via the hospital.
