Airsheds

An airshed is a geographic area used for measuring air quality standards.
This area is used by regulators for managing air quality.
There are 21 airsheds in the Waikato region:
- 20 urban airsheds (listed below)
- the 'rest of the region' airshed, made up of the areas not covered by the airsheds listed.
These airsheds came into force on 1 April 2007. You can download maps or aerial images of the different airsheds on this page.
