Welcome to our page where you can find out more about a proposal to contribute $6 million to establish a national cycling centre of excellence, including a velodrome, next to St Peter’s School in Cambridge.

In an extraordinary meeting in its Hamilton East offices on Wednesday, 14 September, the council voted in favour of contributing toward the proposal.  In making its decision, the council has considered feedback from the public and additional research, including an independent economic impact assessment.
